Thank you to Marty & Maisa for making your first 2024 Equestrian overnight weekend vacation here at Applecrest Farm to trail ride and stay over night with your horses this week. I very much enjoyed showing you around Horseshoe Bend Park, Jacobsburg Park, Nockomixon Park and BCHP. Looking forward to your return stay in June 2024. Happy Trails!

Just had a fantastic weekend at Applecrest Farm. Wendie is a super hostess. The guest barn and guest room were immaculate, well appointed and spacious. Trail riding in this area is fantastic! The farm is within 5-30 minutes trailering to 12 horse parks, including a canal trail which wanders thru a little town. Trails were well groomed with beautiful scenery, a nice mix of woods, fields, single and double track trails. The creek ride at Jacobsburg is my new favorite ride, think Fair Hill on steroids! Easy to plan a ride for novices to die hard trail riders, from 2 hours to 6 hours, you are covered.
The area is rich in history with stunning old homes and buildings. If you have a non-horsey spouse they could easily entertain themselves while you ride with plenty of shopping, golf, restaurants and hiking trails there is something for everyone.
Did I mention shopping?!? Antique lovers dream come true, along with first class second hand and specialty shops.
Looking forward to our return trip in a few weeks.

Wendie is the ultimate hostess. She couldn’t do enough to make our stay wonderful. The grounds are beautiful. The barn is immaculate. Stalls all ready for use with full water buckets and bedding. Our room was nice. She generously shared her house with us. If you can, I would recommend taking a day off from riding just to hang out at the farm to relax or scope out surrounding shops and restaurants.

A group of 5 of us stayed for 2 nights in early June, staying in her guest room as well as camping in our trailers. As above, Wendie stays constantly alert to make sure we were comfortable with horse care and our stay. A refrigerator/freezer in the barn! A coffee station set up for all in early morning. We did enjoy a dinner prepared by her in-house chef! Such a luxury after a day of travel and riding!
We rode at the Horseshoe Bend Park in NJ, Jacobsburg Environmental Ed Ctr and Nockamixon. Wendie extremely helpful with driving directions, maps, and trail information. She herself is an avid trail rider and very familiar with surrounding trail systems!

We had a wonderful stay with Wendie at her Applecrest Farm.

The stalls and runs were perfect for our mules. She has a beautiful property and is working on upgrades for folks that are camping in their trailers; such as a 30 amp hook up, and making the driveway even more accessible to larger rigs.

Since we have a larger LQ she hauled us one of the days to Horseshoe Bend Park. And we were able to rent a trailer to haul to Jacobsburg Park. The trails in the area parks are lovely and worth doing a little drive for. Many of the parks are within 10-30 minutes of the farm. An easy drive.

We gave the mules a day off one of the days and visited the area. We had a great day exploring some of the quaint little towns close by.

We hope to be in this area again to do some more riding and wouldn’t hesitate to stay with Wendie again!

Thanks for a great stay, Wendie!!
